Content
A type of flour produced by grinding dried yams into a powder. A yam is a hearty tuber that does not have the sweet taste of a sweet potato, but instead may have flavors that range from bland to earthy, slightly smoky in taste, or nutty and only moderately sweet. Look for yam flour in specialty shops and large, well-stocked food stores.
Plantain Fufu Flour is a unique, authentic, traditional African food. It becomes very smooth, doughy, and elastic when made into fufu. Also, excellent for battering (when frying meat, poultry and fish), thickening soups, stews and gravy (to obtain natural vegetable flavour).Cassava Flour from MP is a fine quality flour that can serve as a good substitute for wheat flour, especially for making bread, pastries, pasta, and dumplings. Cassava flour comes from ground cassava root. It's fine and powdery and the taste is slightly nutty and earthy. It can easily be swapped for all-purpose flour in gluten-free baking.
